We build alliances with individuals, clinics, doctors, hospitals, churches, and organizations to prevent diabetes and obliterate obesity.
DESMA was created for women and girls but many of our programs are geared toward helping anyone who wants maintain wellness in their life.

The Community Coordinator is on the front line establishing our place in the community. They are responsible for building capacity and maintaining a network of community health workers who are trusted sources within their own communities. The Community Coordinator has a personal understanding of the individuals we serve therefore she is able to build trusting relationships with community members and leaders strategically placing the right individual within the community and providing resources to recruit, train and support Community Liaisons to serve as a link between our organization, partners and the people we serve.
